Emery Walker was a close friend and collaborator of William Morris. He was a master printer and typographer who shared Morris’s passion for high-quality book design and craftsmanship. Walker played a key role in inspiring Morris to establish the Kelmscott Press in 1891. His expertise in printing techniques and his knowledge of fine typography influenced Morris’s approach to creating beautifully designed books. After Morris’s death, Walker continued to promote the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement and became an important figure in the world of printing and design.
